Today (3 Oct 2024), the Cross Cultural Foundation, as a team of lawyers for the relatives, revealed that the Narathiwat Provincial Court has issued an arrest warrant for Gen. Pisal Wattanawongkiri, MP for the Pheu Thai Party and former commander of the Fourth Army Region, in the case of the dispersal of the rally in front of Tak Bai Police Station. The reason was that he fled and did not appear in court as scheduled, which was in accordance with the plaintiff's lawyer's request for the court to issue an arrest warrant as well. Previously, the court had issued a summons because Gen. Pisal was an MP with immunity under the constitution.
